Heat shrink polyolefin tubing coated on the inside with Methode's exclusive Polymer Thick Film silver ink. This product provides a complete 360o circumferential shield around the connector and the shielded cable, thereby eliminating a significant source of EMC leakage from the cable assembly. And unlike ferrite beads, EMC shrinkMate is effective in reducing both ingress and egress of EMI/RFI.
Shielding effectiveness varies with tubing diameter and frequency, ranging from 40dB - 82dB across the frequency range of 30MHz to 1GHz. Operating temperature is -55°C to +135°C. EMC shrinkMate meets stringent aerospace industry specifications for outgassing. Can be provided in a variety of shrink tube materials and sizes can range from .016 to 5" I.D.
